The dietary needs of your body change as naturally as your life changes. Estrogen is considered a female hormone, and is to women what testosterone is to men. Some of the best sources of estrogens are those found in plants. These estrogens are called phytoestrogens. Soy products are some of the best sources of phytoestrogens. There are other plant sources of estrogen, such as herbs, which are included in ProFem II. Phytoestrogens come in several forms, and if levels are high enough, are capable of exerting estrogenic effects. Phytoestrogens can take the place of estrogens produced by the body in many instances. You will note ProFem II is a rich source of nutrients that provide phytoestrogens as well as "good" prostaglandins.
